My wife and I took a trip and we use Westgate vacation villas. The vacation started terribly with the customer service at the front desk. The staff has an attitude as if you are bothering them when you have a question and roll there eyes. I received no room service, no trash service leaving me to take my trash myself (its one thing to do it when your at home but come on im on vacation and its part of the service, well it was supposed to be). When speaking with manager about the issues I was having, he showed no understanding at all and stood firm with the company’s policies of charging a ridiculous high rates for a room upgrade. This entire stay at the resort was highly frustrating for my wife and I. The only time the staff were pleasant was when they were trying to get more money from us and book me with another stay in there Westgate Resort. I recommend not using Westgate there absolutely ridiculous in my opinion and experience!

My husband and I are owners with Westgate and have our deed at the Myrtle Beach location. We had some friends of our take one of our two units this week. The management was absolutely dreadful. Our friends could not get checked in for several hours past when they were supposed to. They did not get unit that we pay for on our deed. Our friends were put in a very old unit that was way outdated. So we were paying more money but not able to use the unit we were supposed to be using. Westgate even tried putting them in a unit which was ocean view not ocean front which we pay extra for. I’m extremely upset with Westgate Resorts. Why would anyone want to buy if Westgate doesn’t follow through with their part of the contract. They expect their maintenance fees and monthly payments but they forget who you are after they get what they want, so the stories vary so someone is covering up their mess. I think they overbooked…someone messed up and they do not want to take care of it. It always seems to be a problem there…2 years ago, one of our units did not have air conditioning and was unbearable so we had to go out and purchases fans to tolerate the situation. We were told there was nothing they could do. The high maintenance fees and still yet they cannot keep the property running properly. Someone needs to investigate this resort. Stay away from Westgate Resorts.
